I fully understand that my positions are too eclectic and unpredictable to be useful to any one group, and I am completely fine with that. If I wanted fame, I would choose a political side and write fervently and rigidly in favor of that side. That's how you build a strong political brand that people enthusiastically promote. I'm uninterested in that. I write what I like. If it's just for two people, then so be it. I could have chosen the Candace Owens path many years ago, but I have entirely too much self-respect for that. I chose to become a professor instead of building my life around writing for a political rag to pay my bills. Fame/popularity is of no interest to me at all. Extra money is always nice, but I am unwilling to sell my soul for it.
